The website 24/7 Wall St. reports that the Metro Detroit area is ranked number 8 in the nation when it comes to exports to China.
The website reports that from 2000 to 2011, Michigan’s exports to China have grown by 1,169%. It notes that the Detroit Metropolitan area accounts for more than 70 percent of Michigan's exports and that transportation equipment accounts for the lion's share of exports.
