Forest Arms owner Scott Lowell tells Curbed Detroit that he financing needed to begin rebuilding of the four-story apartment building at Second and W. Forest in Midtown is "very close to complete"  and he estimates construction will begin in December.

Lowell purchased the century-old building after it was virtually destroyed by a suspicious fire in 2008.

The new Forest Arms will contain 70 units, the majority of which will be one-bedroom. Other features include a rooftop deck and ground-floor a restaurant. Lowell estimates the Forest Arms will be complete in 18 months.
