The gruesome discovery of the bodies of two children inside a chest freezer on Tuesday has led to the arrest of the mother, WDIV reports.

Rod Maloni of WDIV reports that the bodies of the boy, about 11, and the girl, about 14, were discovered shortly before 11 a.m.m whena  court officer when to serve an eviction notice at the Martin Luther King Apartmets in the 800 block of St. Aubin Street.

WDIV reports the mother was arrested at a location way from the home.

Police Chief James Craig said: "Terrible find this afternoon. It was during that eviction process that they discovered two young children in a freezer ... they were inside a bag and appeared to be frozen."
