Some days the local nightly newscast can be pretty hard to swallow.
Tuesday was one of those nights as Fox2 reported that an 8-year-old boy riding his bike was killed in Detroit in a hit-and-run accident at Abington Ave. and W. Chicago Road.
Fox2 reports that Detroit Police have tracked down a vehicle, a 1990s Ford Explorer, that matches the description of the vehicle that hit the boy Tuesday night. The station reports police have questioned the driver, who is cooperating.
Fox2 reports that the child was dragged by the vehicle for about a block and his bike was dragged for about a mile. -- Allan Lengel
