WDIV-TV reports a Detroit father has been arrested in connection with a suspicious fire that killed his two boys, ages 1 and 4, on Friday.

The charge is child endangerment. There is no word on when he'll be arraigned.

The dad told police he had left the youngsters alone for only 10 minutes and when he returned his home in the 16000 of Prairie Street was engulfed in flames. Neighbors told police he had been gone for 30 minutes or more.

Arson investigators called the blaze suspicious, and a witness told the station he saw two men throw something through a window into the home before the fire. The men fled in a black Ford F-150. Officials did not confirm that.

The fire took place on the 16000 block of Prairie near McNichols and Livernois.

"They better watch out for me," the boys' father told reporters, speaking of the supposed perpetrators.

The boys names were Mekhi Williams and Damion Washington.
