U.S. District Judge Gerald Rosen on Tuesday ordered a controversial Dearborn cleric on probation for fraud, to tell the feds how much money he makes and where it comes from, WXYZ reports.
Ahmad Jebril, who has been on the U.S. government’s radar for extreme views and support of ISIS, must tell the feds about his earnings, Jonathan Carlson of WXYZ reports. Authorities believe he hides assets and lies to his probation officer.
Jebril has become popular online internationally.
WXYZ reports that Jebril has failed to pay the majority of the nearly $250,000 in restitution he owes after facing 42 financial fraud charges.
The Detroit Free Press says Jebril must answer questions from federal prosecutors on Wednesday morning.
