He is best known for his most famous client, Dr. Death, Dr. Jack Kevorkian.

He's also on TV and has run for governor.

Now Geoffrey Fieger is in the limelight, this time because a former law partner, Vernon "Ven" Johnson is suing him in Oakland County Circuit Court, alleging professional misconduct, violation of state business law and other bad behavior, according to a report by Mike Martindale of the Detroit News.

Johnson claims that all caused him to quit the firm in 2011 and that Fieger cheated him of compensation.

"The combination of intolerable behavior, broken promises and false representations, the mistreatment of clients, ethically questionable edicts, the loss of experienced trial attorneys, the failure to provide corporate books, records and accounts, as well as other actions ... resulted in a deterioration of the business and compelled (my) resignation," Johnson wrote in the complaint.  -- A.L.
