When you embarrass the The U.S. Secret Service, the agency doesn't forget.

Robert Snell of the Detroit News reports that authorities on Wednesday charged Charles Rumbley, 45, of Detroit with stealing a U.S. Secret Service truck on Sept. 2 in downtown Detroit that was filled with $150,000 of metal detectors for the Labor Day Weekend visit of Vice President Joe Biden.

The truck was swiped outside the Westin Book Cadillac Hotel. It was recovered a day later near Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

Rumbley is charged with stealing government property, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
