Greater downtown's quest to isolate itself from the realities of a bankrupt Detroit with crumbling infrastructure and poor public services suffered a setback Tuesday when a water main burst near Campus Martius, filling downtown streets and possibly some surrounding buildings with water.
WDIV: The break is not only flooding the street, but also flooding nearby buildings. Sources tell Local 4, the First National Building and its neighbor have water flowing into the buildings.
Detroit Police have northbound Woodward closed between Congress & Cadillac Square as well as Congress between Woodward & Bates due to flooding.
