As far as senseless murders in Detroit are concerned -- and there are certainly too many to count -- this one is up there on the charts.

WDIV reports that a trial has begun in Wayne County Circuit Court for Detroit gas station employee Ibrahim Saleh who is charged in last year's s fatal shooting of 24-year-old customer Michael Haynes of Detroit after the two argued about the price of a package of condoms.

The incident happened in a BP station on Fenkell in 2012.

Authorities allege that Saleh of Dearborn followed Haynes out of the store and shot him after he knocked products off the shelf.

It was one of many violent acts at Detroit gas stations in recent years.
