Detroit's casino revenue fell 4.7% in 2013 and that could leave the city coffers about $10 million short.

Detroit News: The declining revenue also means a cut in taxes the city of Detroit will receive. In 2012, Detroit took in $171 million in taxes from gaming operations, representing about 14 percent of money taken in by the city. That number could fall even further, based on 2013 full-year casino revenue.

Detroit, in its 2012 fiscal year — which ran from July 1, 2011, through June 30, 2012. says it took in about $181 million in casino revenue. That was up $4 million from 2011’s fiscal year, but that number masks the continued fallout from fragmentation in the greater Detroit gaming market.

If only you people cared about Detroit's well-being, you would dump more money at the MGM, Motor City, and Greektown blackjack tables.
