Where have all the women state lawmakers gone?
Kathleen Gray of the Detroit Free Press reports that the number of female state lawmakers in Lansing is at a 20 year low.
She reports that only four women serve in the Senate and 24 in the House.
That puts Michigan at 36 in the nation when it comes to women lawmakers.
Gray writes:
Since the 2010 election cycle, nine women have lost their seats either through term limits or at the ballot box.
