Warren Mayor Wants Tax Hike for Cops and Firefighters

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts says the city needs a tax hike or face layoffs for police and firefighters.

The proposal, on the Aug. 7 ballot, will ask voters to approve a 5-year, 4.9 mills tax hike that would cost the average household in a $90,000 home an additional $225 per year in property taxes.
