Its overnight disappearance from Alvin Link's lawn won't keep the U.S. Navy veteran of World War II service from showing.his presidential preference prominently.
The retiree -- who's handy with wood, saws and paint -- made a replacement (pictured) and is crafting a third, he tells Breanna Palmerini of WXYZ:
"I'm working on another one because, if this one goes, I have to be ready."
He wonders whether an admirer or Trump hater swiped the original:
"If it was a Trump lover, they probably wanted a souvenir. If it was a Trump hater, who knows, it's probably in a Dumpster someplace."
Livonia cops are on the case of the campaign caper, posting a photo on Facebook with a request for tips at (734) 466-2470.
Under that post, Noah Stephens of Detroit quips: "Well, the sign does say 'Take one.' "
