
You almost need a score card to keep tabs on the new joints opening up these days in Midtown, downtown and Corktown.
Jeff Waraniak of the "Thrillist" website lists six new spots worth mentioning.
They include: The Detroit Institute of Bagels in Corktown; Thomas Magee’s Sporting House Whiskey Bar in Eastern Market; Mo Better Blues Downtown; La Feria in Midtown; Melt in Midtown; and The Grille Midtown in Midtown.
Of The Grille, he writes:
The newest spot on Woodward where they’ve got everything from burgers on housemade brioche buns to bone-in pork chops with bacon jam to cilantro-sauced mahi mahi tacos. They’re still doing some updates to their digs, which will include some vintage auto gear, but their dinner menu is up for grabs.
