It's Obama time at Michigan State University.

President Obama will appear Friday at the MSU campus to sign the Farm Bill at 2 p.m.

The university wrote on its webpage:

President Obama will see firsthand the research that institutions such as MSU are doing to create jobs and drive innovation that benefits farmers, ranchers, our rural communities and our nation as a whole. Following his remarks, President Obama will sign the Agriculture Act of 2014 into law, according to a statement issued from the White House.

“This is an important piece of legislation for the country. It not only provides strong support for new research enterprises, but it also strengthens and grows Michigan’s agriculture economy and helps sustain America’s global competitiveness,” said MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon. “As the pioneer land-grant institution in America, we are honored and pleased that President Obama will be signing the Farm Bill on MSU’s campus.

The president's remarks will be available via live-stream at www.whitehouse.gov/live.
