A Detroit landmark built in 1965 opposite Cobo has a new face and new name, as Crain's writer Andrew Templeton shows with a short video.

Detroit's historic Hotel Pontchartrain will reopen next month as the Crowne Plaza Pontchartrain following a $5-million renovation to its rooms, lobby and restaurant. 

The 90-second video at the link below includes scenes of the lobby, guest rooms, river views and comments by sales director Tricia Alexander and construction director LaTina Johnson.
