L. Brooks Patterson
Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson did it again.
While he didn't carry Oakland County by as big a margin as in the past, he coasted to victory, beating his Democratic opponent Vicki Barnett by 8 percentage points, Mike Martindale of The Detroit New sreports. It's his seventh term.
"You've got to give him credit," said political pundit Bill Ballenger. "He did it on his own and he outperformed the top of the ballot." Donald Trump took only 43 percent of Oakland votes, while Hillary Clinton garnered 51 percent there.
