In court, he may be defendant Kwame Kilpatrick.
But on the streets of Detroit, he's still the Man -- at least according to his own tweet on Twitter.
Marisa Schultz of the Detroit News reports that Kilpatrick tweeted on Wednesday around 8 p.m. that he likely prevented a crime from happening.
Kilpatrick tweeted that he saw a man breaking into a house on his mother's street.
He wrote:
Dude breaking into a house on Moms street. I yelled "Hey get out of there." He said "Damn, Ok Kwame." Then asked me for a picture. Wow!
The News reports that Kilpatrick is staying at his mother's house during his public corruption trial.
Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens told the News that she wasn't aware of Kilpatrick reporting a crime.
