Governor Rick Snyder

This could very interesting. Or.... very boring.

A Wayne County judge ordered Gov. Rick Snyder’s administration on Tuesday to to release all the names and resumes of anyone who applied and was interviewed for Detroit's emergency manager job, the Detroit Free Press reports. The order also includes emails and documents relating to the job.

But the documents won't be released immediately. Wayne County Circuit Judge Maria Oxholm issued a stay while the state appeals the ruling, the Freep reported.

Freep reporters Matt Helms and Tammy Stables Battaglia write that  the documents and e-mails "could indicate the depth of Detroit mayoral candidate Mike Duggan’s consultations with state officials on the appointment of an emergency manager for the city, and whether he was a candidate for the job himself."

Duggan has been critical of the emergency manager.

Community activist Robert Davis pushed for the release in a lawsuit. -- Allan Lengel
