Everyone may not think this is such a good idea: U.S. Rep. John Conyers, 86, plans to run for a 27th consecutive term in Congress, the Detroit Free Press reports. 

In the last election, some claimed Conyers was no longer as sharp as he used to be and should bow out of politics. Still, he won easily in that election.

He is the longest serving-member of Congress.
