Vice President Biden said Friday that “we don’t know” what the federal government can do to help Detroit as the city files for bankruptcy.
The Washington Post reports Biden said: “Can we help Detroit? We are now going through exactly the details,” Biden said, noting that he participated in a meeting Thursday about the Detroit issue.
Biden, frequently mentioned as a candidate for the Democratic nomination for president, spoke to reporters at meeting on immigration.
On MSNBC "Morning Joe" show Friday, the hosts and guests were questioning the silence out of Washington on Detroit's filing.
