But some question marks remain.

Rookie pitcher Bruce Rondon, who was being considered as the team's closer, has looked a little shaky as of late.

Which led manager Jim Leyland to say, according to Free Press reporter John Lowe: 

"We don't have a closer." He said he had no intention of bringing back Jose Valverde, who stunk up the joint in the latter part of the season last year.

Lowe writes:

Leyland mentioned or alluded to five relievers now in camp he could call on to get ninth-inning outs in close games: veterans Phil Coke, Joaquin Benoit and Octavio Dotel and two young flamethrowers trying to make the club, Brayan Villarreal and Al Alburquerque.
