A 20-year-old man was killed during a robbery at a Dearborn Family Dollar store and his co-worker is missing, police report.
Dearborn police said the victim, identified as Joe Orlando, was shot inside the store in a shopping plaza near Michigan Avenue and Outer Drive sometime Monday night.
Orlando was found Tuesday morning by other workers as they opened the store for the day and found it in disarray.
Employee Brenna Kathleen Machus, 20, of Romulus is missing and believed to be in danger.
"Our investigation is ongoing and all of our resources are currently being utilized to locate Ms. Machus and identify and apprehend the perpetrator of this vicious crime, Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in a statement.
Police are asking anyone who knows anything of Bachus' whereabouts to contact Dearborn police, at 313-943-2241, or CRIME STOPPERS at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. A $2,500 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest of the perpetrator and/or the recovery of Machus.
