Detroit native Ben Carson, who was one of the few primary opponents of Donald Trump to form a true alliance with the president-elect, could end up in the cabinet.

Carson told Fox News Tuesday that he was seriously considering an offer to be secretary of Housing and Urban Development, USA Today reports. He says it was "one of the offers that’s on the table.”

“Well, you know our inner cities are in terrible shape and they definitely need some real attention," Carson said. "You know, there have been so many promises made over the last several decades and nothing has been so it certainly it something that has been a long-term interest of mine and I’ll be thinking and praying about it seriously over the holiday."
