The Free Press raises the possibility of the Detroit Tigers sending four pitchers to the All-Star Game on July 16 at Citi Field Stadium, home of the New York Mets.

"No team in the expansion era of baseball has ever sent four starting pitchers to the All-Star Game, but that could change with this year’s Detroit Tigers," writes James Jahnke.

Max Scherzer, Anibal Sanchez, Justin Verlander and Doug Fister have all had seasons worthy of All-Star consideration. And the guy who will choose the last five members of the American League pitching staff? It’s Tigers manager Jim Leyland.
