Cass Tech Marching Band To Play Pre-Presidential Inaugural Event

The Cass Tech High School marching band is headed to Washington DC to perform at a pre-presidential inauguration event before  President Barack Obama is sworn in for a second term on Monday.

According to WDIV, the band received a $25,000 donation from the General Motors Foundation and raised a total of $75,000 for the trip.

They're scheduled to play at a pre-inaugural event Thursday at the Presidential Inauguration Festival at the University of Maryland.
