Carlita Kilpatrick got a job working for the city of Duncanville, Texas, raising the ire of some residents in the Dallas suburb of 38,000 people, Tresa Baldas reports in the Free Press.
Kilpatrick, wife of former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick -- who was convicted this week of federal public corruption crimes -- has never been charged or convicted of any crimes herself.
She's working at the Duncanville Fieldhouse, an athletic facility with basketball courts, a fitness center and meeting rooms.
Duncanville’s public information officer Claudia Garibay said that Kilpatrick’s title is field house specialist, and her duties include organizing and scheduling sporting events, such as basketball and volleyball tournaments. She also helps oversee the facility’s daily operations.
