M.L. Elrick confronts state Rep. John Olumba.
The last time Fox 2's M.L. Elrick went after Detroit state Rep. John Olumba of Detroit it was because he had the worst attendance record in the state legislature.
His attendance apparently improved after that.
But now Elrick is going after him again, this time claiming that Olumba doesn't live in the district he represents. That's a requirement.
Fox 2 showed Olumba living in the the fourth district, not the third he was elected to represent.
Elrick caught Olumba living at the house in the fourth district; cleaning the garage, taking the dog for a walk, going in and out.
When Elrick confronted him, he said his wife lived in the house in the fourth district and he went back and forth between both districts.
He said he actually lived at a house on Yonka Street in the third district.
But neighbors told Elrick they had never seen him there. Elrick also produced a deed which showed he bought a house in the 4th district. -- Allan Lengel
