Sad news for Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Border authorities seized 144-pounds of cocaine concealed in a truck trailer headed for Canada via the Ambassador Bridge.
WXYZ: U.S. Customs and Border Protection says its agents were inspecting a tractor-trailer Sunday as it prepared to cross the bridge from Detroit to Windsor, Ontario.
The agency says agents asked the driver and a passenger to exit the truck, which was carrying produce. It says inspectors found 55 vacuum-sealed packages of suspected cocaine in the bunk area of the tractor.
The driver is a Canadian citizen.
