Al Qaeda has released a training film showing the "Underwear Bomber," Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, WDIV reports.

Kevin Dietz of WDIV reports that the video shows Abdulmutallab jumping from a moving vehicle and firing a weapon in Yemen. He reports that other clips and photos show him at a terror training camp in the months before he tried to blow up a plane on Christmas Day in 2009 in Detroit. He is now serving a life sentence in federal prison.

Dietz interviews Andy Arena, the former head of the Detroit FBI, who was in charge at the time of the incident.

Arena tells WDIV that the video offers little new information, but may be circulating as a recruiting tool.

After his arrest, Abdulmutallab talked to investigators and was cooperative.

"He talked about training and who he met. We knew from a 3-month period he was moved from training site to training site, to safe house to safe house," said Arena.
