Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson got out of the hospital on Friday. On Tuesday, the Auburn Hills cops had a little get-well present for him: A $65 ticket for failing to wear a seat belt during his car crash about five weeks ago.
The Detroit News reports he paid a $65 citation on Tuesday.
Patterson seemed ok with that.
"Not wearing a seat belt was a mistake," Patterson said in a release, the News reported. "I accept my responsibility and paid the $65 fine this afternoon."
Patterson broke a lot of body parts: wrists, ribs, an ankle and hip.
